The City of Temple, Texas held a bond election that is funding a three year technology initiative that will issue Chrome Books to the high school students and iPads to middle and elementary school students.  The roll out will take place in the following manner: The Chrome Books will be rolled out to the high school students in the fall of 2014. IPads will be distributed to middle school students in the fall of 2015 and elementary students in the fall of 2016. Now that the initiative has been passed and the roll out is scheduled, the next item to plan is the training. This endeavor will bit more complicated as it is imperative that key stakeholders agree as to who should receive training.

Administration

The administration is a major stakeholder in the initiative. They drive instruction and training and their input is mandatory. To enlist their input the most effective mode would be face to face interview. Important questions to ask would include questions about who should be trained; staff parents, students; what would be the best method of training for each group; face to face or web based?

Faculty

Input from the faculty will also be needed before training can commence. Questionnaires will be distributed electronically to each faculty member requesting opinions on training methods, training difficulty (everyone receive same training or delineate by skill level), and ongoing professional development throughout the distribution process.

Parents

Parents will receive questionnaires through the mail requesting opinions training methods, training difficulty (everyone receive same training or delineate by skill level), and ongoing professional development throughout the distribution process.
